At Chatsworth Park our aim is to offer a professional service on a personal level where attention to your horse is paramount. Being a family business and having the ability to grow our own feed enables us to offer the highest quality of care at competitive rates.
We offer a range of services including agistment, foaling, breeding and racehorse spelling.
Agistment
The Chatsworth Park North and Chatsworth Park South farms offer extensive agistment facilities for different equine needs, including wet & dry mares, weanlings, yearlings, and racehorse spelling. We offer these services on a permanent and seasonal basis.
Foaling
Chatsworth Park offers a dedicated foaling unit that operates 24/7 during the breeding season, providing a safe and monitored environment for mares during the foaling process. We also offer weaning and handling services for foals, as well as a regular farrier service to manage confirmation from the beginning.
Breeding Services
Chatsworth Park is in close proximity to local veterinary practices and stallion farms. We offer reproduction services using dedicated reproduction veterinarians for the breeding season, as well as walk-on services for breeding mares. We also offer a service for mares under lights at no additional cost.
Racehorse Spelling
The Chatsworth Park South farm offers spelling facilities for racehorses, providing a dedicated space for temporary rest and rejuvenation, ensuring the individualised care and attention they require during their stay.
Transport
We have our own truck to transport mares and complete walk-ons locally. For longer trips and at times during the busy breeding season, we call upon the services of local transport companies to assist with transporting mares.
Specialist Care
Chatsworth Park provides specialist care services including the veterinary services of both Scone Equine Group and Apiam Hunter Equine Centre, who supply us with dedicated reproduction veterinarians for the year. These highly qualified and respected vets are crucial to ensuring the well-being of our horses. In addition, we benefit from expert nutritional guidance from Dr. Nerida McGilchrist, a renowned figure in the equine nutrition field. Furthermore, our farrier services are provided by Todd Litchfield, who is present on the farm weekly, offering essential care for foal confirmation in the early weeks of life. These services ensures that our horses receive the best possible attention and support at every stage of life.
