Services

At Chatsworth Park our aim is to offer everything on a personal level where attention to your horse is paramount. Being a family business as well as the ability to grow our own feed enables us to offer the highest care at very reasonable rates.

We offer a range of services including agistment (permanent and seasonal), broodmares, weanlings, yearlings, racehorse spelling, broodmare reproduction, foaling down, weaning and handling, walk-ons to all studs within the area, and mares under lights (no extra charge for lights).

The Farms

Chatsworth Park North is situated on the outskirts of Scone and comprises of two farms. The first farm is located approximately 3 kilometres south-west from the centre of Scone and is home to most of the mares with foals and weanlings. With the recent purchase of a neighbouring property, it now features 300 acres of rich alluvial soil on Dartbrook Creek. All fencing is purpose built and all paddocks are pasture improved which is serviced by an excellent water supply with irrigation to all paddocks.

The farm is well equipped for all your needs with:

  • Designated yards and facilities
  • Individual post-foaling yards
  • Floodlit paddocks for mares under lights
  • Vet Crush and stables.
  • Hay shed storing 20,000 bales
  • Air conditioned hospital box

Chatsworth Park South comprises 320 acres and is located approximately 5 kilometres south-west from the centre of Scone and also located on Cliftlands Road. This farm is home to the Foaling Unit ,dry mares, and spelling racehorses.

Transport

We are well equipped to transport your horses as we have our own truck. During the busy breeding season we call upon the services of Horse Link and GC horse transport to assist with transporting mares.

Specialist Care

Chatsworth Park provides specialist care services including the veterinary services of both Scone Equine Group and Apiam Hunter Equine Centre, who supply us with dedicated reproduction veterinarians for the year. These highly qualified and respected vets are crucial to ensuring the well-being of our horses. In addition, we benefit from expert nutritional guidance from Dr. Nerida McGilchrist, a renowned figure in the equine nutrition field. Furthermore, our farrier services are provided by Todd Litchfield, who is present on the farm weekly, offering essential care for foal confirmation in the early weeks of life. These services ensures that our horses receive the best possible attention and support at every stage of life.
